In 2018 Smile approached Dr Dawson from Stirling University
about Charms (care home achieving realistic movement strategies), 
a research project funded by charity healthcare management trust, 
that she and other colleagues at the
University Of Stirling were working on.
The project was to encourage more activity within care homes. 
This was the project that Smile wanted to support, help and learn from.
